This article provides panel providers, especially hospitals and specialists, with a clear step-by-step guide on how to submit claims for Health Screening through the HealthMetrics portal, accompanied by helpful screenshots for easy reference.
Step by Step
1.) The hospital team may go to the Health Screening Tab to make a claim submission. A claim can be made in 2 places. A.) Dashboard Tab and B) Patients Tab.
A. Dashboard Tab: Locate the Pending Submission window and click the Submit Now button.
B. Patients Tab: Find the Pending Claim Submission window on the right side of the page. Click Submit Now.
2.) Once clicked, you will be redirected to the Claim Submission page with the date
3.) Kindly review the Billing Details section, which includes the patient’s name, company, check-in time, GL expiry time, GL number, and GL guaranteed amount.
4.) Fill in the Hospital Bill Reference Number and the Grand Total Bill Amount.
5.) Next, fill in the Grand Total Bill Amount. There will be 2 Scenarios given here: A. Within Guaranteed Amount, and B. Exceeding Guaranteed Amount
A. Within Guaranteed Amount: If the total health screening amount does not exceed the guaranteed amount, proceed to upload the detailed tax invoice by clicking on the (+) button. Choose your files accordingly.
B. Exceeding Guaranteed Amount: If the treatment amount exceeds the guaranteed amount, the portal will highlight the excess in red under the remarks section. Collect the extra cash from the patient before they leave the hospital. Next, proceed to upload the detailed tax invoice by clicking on the (+) button. Choose your files accordingly.
6.) Select Attending Doctor. Choose the doctor who actually treated the patient for the health screening.
Do note: Ensure that the doctor’s information in the portal is up-to-date. Contact your hospital admin to add or update new doctors if needed.
7.) Upload Consent Form and Claim Form. Click the Select option. Then, choose and click Upload Now and upload both the Consent Form and the Claim Form.
8.) Add Treatment and Investigations. Understand the buttons in this section. The Add Lines button allows you to add a test or treatment. The Clear All Lines button removes all entries, and the Delete button removes individual entries. Click inside the box labeled Nothing Selected to choose a treatment or test from the list.
Two Methods to Enter Treatments:
i. Method 1: Add each treatment or test individually into the treatment table.
ii. Method 2: Select from Health Screening Packages under the treatment section to save time. Note that these packages are for hospital convenience and do not represent packages provided by HealthMetrics to the member.
9.) Review and Submit. Recheck all billing and treatment details to ensure accuracy. Next, Click Submit for Review. A pop-up box will appear; read the information carefully and acknowledge it.
10.) Post-Submission. The claims team will process the submitted claim within three working days as per the agreed service level. After submission, you may either view the submitted claim or return to the Patients tab to process the next patient check-in.
