There are 2 types of Employee Type available under your employee's profile.
Definition: Employee to earn the full / prorated entitlement from the join date (the calculation is still based on your First Financial Month/Benefit Refreshment Month).
Setting Up
- From the left menu bar, click on Employees.
- Search for your employee’s name via the Search filter function.
- From the employee’s name in the employee table, click on the Actions button, then click on Edit.
- At the Benefit Groups tab, you will notice the Entitlement option is set to Full by default. Click the drop-down list where you will see Accumulated.
- Further definition for Accumulated will appear below it.
- To confirm your changes, click on the Save All button at the bottom of the form.
Examples:
Scenario 1:
First Financial Month: January
Employee Join Month: April
Full Entitlement: GP RM600 per year
Proration: Not applicable
Since the employee joined in April, the calculation will be RM600/12 and starting from April, they will get RM50/month. When there is no proration, the employee will get Jan-Apr an accumulation of RM50 x 4 months = RM200.
Consecutively,
In May, the employee will get an additional RM50, together with the balance being carried forward = RM250
In June, another RM50 = RM300
..and so forth until the end year.
Scenario 2:
First Financial Month: January
Employee Join Month: April
Full Entitlement: GP RM600 per year
Proration: Applicable
Since the employee joined in April, the calculation will be RM600/12 and starting from April, they will get RM50/month. When there is proration, the employee will NOT get Jan-Apr.
The employee will only be able to earn the benefit from the month they joined = RM50 only.
Consecutively,
In May, the employee will get an additional RM50, together with the balance being carried forward = RM100
In June, another RM50 = RM150
..and so forth until the end year.
Scenario 3:
First Financial Month: January
Employee Join Month: April
Full Entitlement: GP RM600 per year and RM100 per visit
Proration: Not applicable
Since the employee joined in April, the calculation will be RM600/12 and starting from April, they will get RM50/month. When there is no proration, the employee will get Jan-Apr an accumulation of RM50 x 4 months = RM200.
On their panel visit, they can only claim up to RM100 cashless since there is a capping of RM100 per visit on top of their annual limit.
Scenario 4:
First Financial Month: January
Employee Join Month: April
Full Entitlement: GP RM600 per year and RM100 per visit
Proration: Applicable
Since the employee joined in April, the calculation will be RM600/12 and starting from April, they will get RM50/month. When there is proration, the employee will NOT get Jan-Apr.
The employee will only be able to earn the benefit from the month they joined = RM50 only.
On their panel visit (in the 1st month), they can only claim up to RM50 only since this is the only entitlement they have at the moment.
2nd month onwards, when their total entitlement is RM100 or more, the RM100 per visit will be applicable (subject to how much balance they have left at the moment.
