N-Year Benefits Implementation_________________________________________________________
HR can now configure benefits to be renewed every N years, based on a user-defined start date. This setup is ideal for longer-term benefit cycles.
How to Set Up:
- Select “Every N years” as the Renewal Period.
- Use the Base Year Renewal calendar picker to select the exact start date for the cycle.
Example for refined implementation:
Renewal cycle: Every 3 years
Base year date: 15 Jan 2020
Renewals will happen on: 15 Jan 2023, 15 Jan 2026, and so on.
💡Update: Previously, regardless of the date selected, the system defaulted renewal to the 1st of the selected month. Now, renewal will follow the exact date you pick — e.g., 15 Jan 2020 will renew on 15 Jan 2023, 15 Jan 2026, etc.
N-Month Benefits Implementation______________________________________________________
We now support benefit renewals every N months, giving the HR more flexibility for shorter employment terms like contract workers.
How to Set Up:
- Select “Every N months” as the Renewal Period.
- Enter the number of months (1–12).
- Choose one of the Renewal Options:
Default (Company financial month): Renewal is anchored to the company’s financial year setup.
Employee Join Date: Benefit renews based on the anniversary of the employee’s start date.
Indicative Date: User-specified custom date used as the starting point for the N-month cycle.
Example:
Period: Every 2 months
Option: Based on employee join date
- If employee joined on 1st Feb, benefit renews every 2 months from 1st Feb (i.e., Apr, Jun, Aug...).
- This is especially useful for industries such as BPO, Retail, F&B, and others that commonly engage employees on a contract or rotational basis or project basis.
Reports Impact____________________________________________________________________________
Annual Utilisation Report
- For N-year setups: Displays benefit usage available for the selected calendar year only.
- E.g., if the benefit is from Jan 2020 to Dec 2021 (2 years), viewing 2021 will show the available balance for just 2021 (i.e., half of the total limit).
- For N-month setups: Displays pro-rated availability based on the cycle and selected renewal anchor (e.g., join date).
Employee Ticket Report
- Only includes tickets received during the selected year.
- This applies regardless of whether benefits are N-year or N-month-based.
