Stay on top of your claim updates, healthcare provider check-ins, and important notices from HealthMetrics — all in one place.
The Messages tab is your notification inbox within the HealthMetrics app. It consolidates three types of notifications: updates on your claims and submitted tickets, check-in alerts from healthcare providers, and general announcements from HealthMetrics. You don't need to do anything to set this up — notifications arrive here automatically.
Accessing Your Messages
- From the bottom navigation bar, tap Messages.
- Your full notification inbox will appear, sorted by most recent first.
- To filter by read status, tap the filter icon in the top-right corner of the screen and select either All or Unread, then tap Apply.
Types of Notifications You'll See
Claim & Ticket Updates These notifications keep you informed on the progress of claims you've submitted through HealthMetrics. You'll receive updates when a claim has been submitted, when it is being reviewed, and when it has been approved or rejected. If you've raised a support ticket with HealthMetrics, status updates for that ticket will also appear here.
Healthcare Provider Check-Ins When a panel healthcare provider processes your visit through the HealthMetrics system — such as when a Guarantee Letter (GL) is applied for, approved, or when your check-in is registered at a clinic — a corresponding notification will appear here. This gives you a real-time record of your visit activity without needing to follow up directly with the provider.
General Notices from HealthMetrics HealthMetrics will occasionally send announcements directly to your inbox. These may include promotions from panel partners, updates to app features or policies, reminders about your benefit renewal, or other important account information. These are tagged as Promotion or similar labels so you can tell them apart from transactional notifications.
Things to Know
- Notifications are linked to your individual member profile — dependants' claim activity will appear separately if they are registered under your plan.
- Use the Unread filter to quickly surface anything you haven't reviewed yet.
- Notifications are not deletable, but they remain in your inbox as a permanent activity log you can refer back to at any time.
- If you are expecting a claim update or GL approval notification and it has not arrived, check that your app notifications are enabled in your phone settings.
